The Blue Plaque Goes Up Almost a Hundred Years After He Died
James clark ross was awarded a knighthood for his work in both polar regions. He turned it down once and then accepted it a bit later on. The plaque went up almost a hundred years after he died. It commemorates the stay there between 18 forty three and five, which was just after his marriage to anne coleman.
