"My parents were, I guess, kind of like submarine parents. They were lurking, but surface wind needed," he says. "I think the biggest, and I don't have kids, but it seems like you got to let them be who they are one way or the other." He hopes his wife and children haven't been stifled by their tight-knit Virginia family.
