Bill Harrison's Cause of Death Has Been Changed

In 2020, an independent review was launched into why Bill and Bridget's Harrison's murders had originally been overlooked. It highlighted a multitude of police errors, including poor communication, note-taking and coordination of resources. In Bill Harrison's case, a layered neck dissection wasn't performed during his autopsy even though there were signs of trauma to his throat. The performing pathologist also failed to uncover any trace of heart abnormalities or heart disease. Yet, he still ruled Bill's death as the result of acute cardiac arrhythmia. He later reflected: "Given hindsight, I suspect that he was the victim of foul play"
