Mesh Networks

In a grid-down situation, everybody relies on the internet right now. How do we continue to communicate via internet? Is that done via mesh networks? I know we talked previously about ham radios,. You can go to an area that's got everything down, you can get communications with ham radio. But how about mesh networks? How does that work? And is that something that has to be set up ahead of time? and should we work on it like starting now? Oh, yeah. All of this stuff needs to be started 10 years ago because it's all a journey.
