Crypto Currency - The Untraceable Way to Get Paid Off
When ransom is paid, these days, it's almost always paid in crypto currencies because they're hard to trace. One big effort of the biden administration right now is to try to put some transparency into crypto currency payments. The theory being that if you take away the crypto currency part of the transaction, the criminal groups are going to have no way to get paid and thus well be more hesitant to do this.
