There's an extremely loose adaptation of the Hercules myth for Disney in the late 90s. We've talked about what is that author, song of Achilles and the Cersei book. And we don't need to talk about the guy who played Hercules at all. That was a documentary actually. I can't think of another series that is playing with myth like this.

It's episode 600, baybee!!! To celebrate, we're embarking on a voyage through Rick Riordan's Percy Jackson and the Olympians series, some middle-grade fantasy-but-in-the-real-world fiction that passed us by when it came out in 2005. We'll be reading the first five books in the series, starting with The Lightning Thief.
