Introduction
In this episode, we talk to doctor spencer wort who served as director of the centrefor history of physics at the american institute of physics from 19 74 to two thousand nine. Spencer is so the author of several books, including the discovery of global warming which has turned into a much more extended on line version. We then also talk about the i pc c's emerging understanding of so called tipping points in the climate system and our current best guesses as to what kind of threat they actually pose. And lastly, we turn to one of spencer's other books, called nuclear fer which looks at the changing cultural relationship that humans have had with nuclear energy.
