The Grand Tack Hypothesis - Jupiter Started in the Inner Solar System

Oaso: We feel pretty confident that jupiter started in the outer solar system, and it didn't start in the inter solar system and then move out. But now we have a crazier idea, which is maybe j Jupiter did trend into the inner solar system, just like those other hot jupiters were seeing in other solar systems,. but that it stopped and it turned around and went back out to the outer solar system. So this is called the grand tack hypothesis, seeing jupiters like a sail boat that sailed into the inter solarsystem and then sailed back out. This is blowing my mind, so let's break it into two parts, i guess. O
