The Most Common Objections to Color Blindness
Race consciousness is the law of the land, and has been for some 50 years. Almost every elite college in the country tracks the race of its applicants. The idea that the color blind ideal is simply a way of ignoring white supremacy turns all american history on its head. I'm not sure you can find any principle that hasn't been used cynically by some one somewhere. If that were a valid objection to the principle, then all principles would be wrong. However, there are some cynical people that use an ideal doesn't undermine the ideal itself.
