I was struck by that dicodomy, the building of report and then trust with a potential source. And it can be incredibly challenging and ultimately incredibly beautiful. I could see him a few yards out ahead, but only from behind and in shadow. So i could hear his voice before i could actually make out the features of his face. He was singing this kind of hungarian folk song. That kind of folk song that makes you feel nastalgic,. Even if you're not hungarian and you have no idea what the words are. It was very beautiful and very wise, and it sounded almost ancient.
