Is There a Lot of Cheap Talk on Diversity?

I worry that it's just a lot of cheap talk. I also think this is a case where there's a real genuine market failure. The government provides housing because supply will not respond under the economic conditions other than through forced transit. That solution ain't going to be solved by some creative market based answer. And we have to kind of face up to that, I think. It feels like this is a setting where the 65 year old, 70 year old who does not own a home. We don't see it in these very liberal cities.
