Introduction
Dr Shaham Das is a forensic psychiatrist who specializes in treating people with mental illnesses. He says his job is to see somebody when they're on trial in prison, decide do they have a mental illness? Yes or no? If they do, did they have symptoms at the time of their events, murdered stabbing wherever it was? And if they did, are they criminally responsible? Most of the time they are criminally responsible more than 90% of the time,. In which case I give evidence and they go to prison. "I personally right now in my career do most, mostly expert witness work," he said.
