How to Pitch a Deal to a VP of CorpDev
For me to buy in to a deal, again, I'll start from the beginning. What is the strategy for the business as we have it today? How does that target or that particular transaction align to that strategy? For me, that's the fundamental question. Then we start getting into, OK, what is the financial profile of the business? What is the valuation? What are the returns that this business will generate? Is it a creative? Does it cover all that are cost to capital?What are the long-term returns on an invested capital that we can look for?"
