Can I Go Back to Programming?

As someone who started as a hard-core programmer, do you have signs when you sort of miss that and have you thought of going back to do some programming? I definitely miss the time of solving complex technical problems. There's this sense of satisfaction coming from solving technical problems that's different. And being introvert, that also is just my sweet spot. But then can I go back? I think I kind of missed the boat a little bit.
