Epidedemo Orchitis
The testes are another very common sit of mumps infection, especially in post puberdal people with testes. 15 to 30 % of post puber people withtestes can get an infection that is often an epiditimo orchitis. Ovaries can also be affected, but it tends to be much less common. About five% of post pubetal or reproductive age people with ovaries get ooparitis. The problem with mumps virus is that it can also infect the central nervous system,. and it can result in a meningitis or an ansephalitis.
