What Is the Point of Karl Popper's Book?

Karl Popper claimed that all the laws of Kepler, Galileo and Newton have been falsified by demanding a true generalization must apply with unlimited precision to an unlimited domain. He was then accused by later philosophers of being too optimistic. They insisted that nothing can be proven, not even a generalizations falsehood. In the prior book, which is 300 and something pages, that's what you get about Popper. Not one quote from his work. Nothing. Just assertions about what he thought. That's the standard of scholarship we've got here.
