Kant's most powerful challenge to Nietzsche then is one that I don't think he could have articulated himself because it requires the advantage of hindsight. The world has continued to bring itself further out of immaturity as he puts it further into enlightenment and that political theory of optimism actually attained predominance but that's the very thing that Nietzsche opposes. We've gotten very good at adopting the aspirational talk of Kant but have we ever actually walked the walk so I hope I've made stuffy old Kant as enjoyable as he can possibly be.
