Introduction
stephen kelly is a senior research associate at the yale programme on financial stability. Stephen joins us to day to discuss his work on financial stability and the role the federal reserve plays in it. The bulk of our work is in what we call the new badget project. We're really andrew metricks brain child. He runs our day to day so we have the new bad get, which is backward looking in that we sort of look at every intervention documented throughout history, and then see what worked and why. So there's a forward looking thing too, where we sort of spread the good news of how to fight crises.
