There's obviously a major danger in this revival of industrial policy policy being tied up with the New Cold War with China. But I also want to ask how does this emphasis on geopolitics limit where and how the center left is willing to intervene to expand productive capacity? Yeah it's a really interesting question because you know you mentioned the chips act earlier which is obviously targeted at sort of high-end electronics that can be used in advanced weapon systems. So that's like you see it clearly there with the inflation reduction act but we also see some willingness to do this in the sphere of energy and the energy transition.
