Over the last 40 years, active management has outperformed about half the time. I think we're at a very, very important juncture where people who buy into the index today are going to suffer very negative returns over the next decade. People don't have long memories. They forget the past and they think that the current environment is going to continue in the future. And I think that's foolish.
