How I Remember Grocery Shopping When I Was a Kid
WIC is a federally funded program that provides supplemental groceries to low-income women and young children. All my family could afford to eat was what we could get through these WIC vouchers, like bread, cereal, eggs, milk and cheese. I couldn't get the fun stuff that all the other kids at my school had in their lunches,. Like Doritos and Lunchables and Capri Sun or whatever.
