The Different Pathways of the Death Penalty in Britain
The death penalty is on a different trajectory from abortion, contraception and casual sex. People might have a notion of personal freedom in how people live their everyday lives but they also need measures to enact retribution or be a deterrent. As a country, we are reasonably, let's say, to compare us perhaps with some other European countries, we are a fairly punitive one. The resensency remains very high compared to a lot of other countries.
