The Trauma Response to Violence in Adolescence
"I grew up with this mom. My dad was, lived in the town next to us when I was 17 and his house blew up from a rival who put a bomb on his porch," she says. "It damaged my brain, you know? And the only thing I could describe it to is really well, is you literally see things differently." She also talks about being taken advantage of sexually by older girls as a kid.
