The Early History of Ecological Economics
Before the field really could be established, the social conditions changed again. And other concerns came to dominate. What we experienced in the 1970s was really a kind of a backlash for some of these ideas due to the oil crisis that was an economic crisis. So I think you can see it in that perspective that the agenda turned away.
