157. Schwa – The BEST Vowel Sound in English

Congratulate. Congratululate. What Are You Saying?
The late at the end is a pure vowel. It's a secondary stress and it cannot be reduced to a schwa. Some syllables are fully pronounced higher, louder in pitch, longer than others. You don't have to pronounce the full vowel. And like I said, especially in long words. When you start reducing it, all of a sudden you invest less energy and the rhythm starts changing. Instead of congratulate, congratulate, congratulate,. short, long, short, medium.
