The cost of living crisis means that people are down shifting. In other words, they're turning to lower priced budget stores. Sales at discount as Aldi and Little are up 14 and 17% respectively in the past year. And frozen food specialist Iceland has seen sales rise by nearly 3%. It's a buy now pay later scheme for groceries. A pretty radical idea lending customers the money to buy their weekly shop.
