Xantippe's Monologue

The 18 year old levee enrolled at newnham college, a woman's college at cambridge university. She wrote a verse play during this time titled reading that features characters named professor ego and bob bumptious who seem flummixed by the women around them. And while everyone gets a dose of levy, sharp though comedic critique, it is ultimately men who get the harshest words for their, quote, shallow sentiment and their treatment women. A lot of her work reflects an artist's kind of working through issues of identity and the ways in which choice is to go down a certain direction in life mean other options become unavailable.
