Carbon offset projects are project backed. They can be used in a compliance carbon market to buy more allowances. More than 400 companies in our coverage that are using offsets currently, and a much smaller num r investing in carbon removal technology. Out of those 400 companies, the top five sectors are utilities, industrials, consumer discretionary tech and financial companies.
