The Legacy of George Floyd
This month is the three year anniversary of George Floyd's murder by a white police officer in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The state of California created a nine member task force to examine exactly what to do for black Californians and the way of reparations. It will make its recommendations to the state legislature by July the 1st. Not all black Californians are entitled to this; about 6.5% of the state's population is black.
