House Talk Is Necessary
The assumption with house talk is that what a student says in moments of vulnerability yor just in general in your class, is not going to be thrown back at them later. My biggest thing isn't, don't do it. I'm trying to change the relationships amongst the kids. That's why i think house talk is necessary if you are trying to have race conversations and other sensitive conversations in class. In a house talk environment, it's kind o like we want to take care of each other. We're all trying to learn here.
