Aaron Carroll: Elon Musk has used a lot of these promises in order to pump up the share price. He says that was what worked for him and his investors, but it also played into larger narratives about Tesla taking over the world. But when we actually look at the fundamentals of the company, which is an electric car company, he says, they are facing challenges. Carroll: They got a totally unique deal in China that we still don't know the terms of. It's been important to their ongoing sort of viability,. certainly as a stock promotion and ever interesting though, I think we're going to see China and the US start to match each other.
