Is There a Long-Term Plan to Dispose of EV Batteries?

The deadline for electric vehicles to be more eco-friendly has been set at 2040. But there are still developments that have to be done as those eco-friendly solutions are not necessarily as eco-friendly as they seem. The biggest problem is how do you dispose of or reuse current electric vehicle batteries? It's very difficult, I believe it must be people.
