DevOps - Build Packs vs Docker Files?

Heroku's got build packs and you effectively have to use Docker files on render right okay referring to yeah that's what I was referring to. We don't have a custom Docker file on render yet because their native Rails one does almost everything we need it's got one version do old of Vips for us so we can't support HEIC images which is real pain but it's not back to like our previous conversations it hasn't annoyed me enough for me to change it this is aPretty big change to support those files so we don't we don't have to do anything custom there yet as they're still very early in the development process.
