Behind the Bastards

CHAPTER

The War Crimes of Robert Baden Powell

Robert Baden Powell is accused of war crimes in South Africa during the Second World War. He allegedly starved black residents and evicted them from Meficing to save food rations. Peter Bergen says historians disagree on whether or not this was a crime against humanity, but it's clear that he did commit another war crime at May-ficking. The only guy who could have pulled off this defense for the British because he has a lot of this experience, Bergen says.
