Don't Ask Someone, but Where Are You Actually From?
Don't ask someone, but where are you actually from? Assume they're Australian and move on to a less cliche discussion. I think the word actually- It is appropriate at times. Actually is the one that changes it. Because I ask that question all the time when it is quite obvious that the person by their accent or their spoken English is not a native speaker of English.
