The New Microschool Movement Is an Edtech Equity Play
Is the new microschool movement an edtech equity play? Or is this really, actually, what do you think this is? What's the headline here? I was actually surprised at how few. VELA survey interviewed 400 education entrepreneurs who received funding from VELA itself. And it said that 40% are intentionally serving underserved populations. That's less than half. But even though less than half are aiming for that population, a huge majority of families entering this space are from underserved or low-income populations.
