The Barrier to Chat GPT's Ability to Use
The barrier to chat GPT executing code is probably a legal liability one as much as technical capability. I think the problem with these particularly publicly hosted models is if you could get it to execute code, you potentially could get chat GPT to take down part of the internet. If you allowed it to not only come up with a code but run it because someone could find... People are finding all kinds of jailbakes and interesting ways of getting creative already. That's why I suspect it's like, yep, the user gets that, the user then takes on the liability for ruling that on their end.
