The Role of Oxygen in Hypoxemia
The emergency isn't so much getting the oxygen in, it's actually getting the carbon dioxide out. The concept of oxygen for comfort is a complete myth across all age groups. Even in this current COVID outbreak, we're seeing patients with pretty significant hypoxemia. We have to remember that the 86% of this child is probably the least concerning thing I'm going to do.
