The book is a story about the first commercial asteroid mining mission and the people who go on it. The idea being that there are people who climb mountains in the world who risk their lives every day, doing things that really are not of much consequence to the old world. So why not allow these people who he feels are the explorers who are thwarted, right? All of the technology in that this book is realistic. It either exists in reality or as a prototype and is on the table being built.
