The community of comics feels more divided and splintered now than it's kind of ever been. I remember when i first started on long island, there was a lot of weirdness. Aan ily say something about being gay, people would go,. And that's not a huge part of my act, to have one or two jokes about it. But it was weird back then. People lo what like, what looked like. The identity of comic is such a powerful, strong identity. It should unite all these different groups of people under that umbrella. Seems to be weirdly balcanized.
