I Was a Witch, I Was Awakened
"I knew about the general idea of a witch only as it relates to Halloween but this feeling and context was completely different," she says. "At that time, I heard those words frock like pebbles into my mind, I was not afraid I could only wonder at it." She recalls being overcome with fear by an urban black shadow figure in her bedroom when she was eight-years-old. 'It felt as though this figure were lying on me directly on top of me and I felt that I had difficulty breathing like it was smothering me and I couldn't move,' she writes.
