The Akane's Rebellion
The Romans came straight into Acadia to annex it. Budokka stood her ground and that effectively made her a rebel, she might well have been a Roman citizen. The reaction of the Akane is probably the exact opposite of what the the Romans are hoping for. They hoped that by this act it would end any Akanean thoughts of independence or continued independence. It backfired atrociously, the Akane rose up in rebellion. Their neighbors who had been treated very badly were ripe for that as well. And so they advance on Camuladunum with 200 poorly armed men. Taster: "They sound suspiciously unprepared for battle"
