It says that £125,000 for this statue has been raised by public subscription. When you look into the finances, no, it wasn't a rich, obsessive person paid for the whole thing. It's always been quite hard to pay members of... So those statues in London that say paid for by the men of his regiment or whatever, that's not true. I think our statues is that the statues that we know, particularly in London, they've all been around for like at least 100 years. Who would want to be a sculptor? Because they all look shit until you're dead.
