The Different Types of Glioma and the Complications of Surgery

In most cases with low-grade gliomas involving the cerebellum, it's an easy surgery. If it's a more aggressive tumor like mediolastoma or appendamoma, the surgeon tends to be a little bit more aggressive in getting everything out. When that happens, you can develop something called cerebellum mutism or posterior fossa syndrome. And so what we find is intensive rehab is the key.
