The Acute on Chronic Workload Ratio

Training harder, maybe training smarter. So the two go together and that's what allows you to train smart and train hard. The acute on chronic workload ratio is a simple way of monitoring your athletes in a relative state of fitness or fatigue. If our ratio is above one, it indicates that we're building capacity. We're building chronic load. If our ratios are less than one,. it indicates thatWe're probably under trainState where our chronic load still needs to build. Either way, we can work out whether we're building progressing loads or regressing loads. And if we put our acute loads up too quickly, then it can induce a lot of fatigue which could be potentially dangerous for us
