Brady is extremely attuned to symbolic moves meant to leverage his relationship. The symbolism of signing a one year, one day contract and retiring as a patriot will probably go sideways up his chimney. He's moved on and there won't be that type of connection post career. That's what Dan really wants as a Jets fan. That's all he has.
