The Battle of Non-Jing
Tang-Shung-Ji was told he'd be needed later after the Nationalist had a chance to regroup and organize a resistance. On December 12th, the United States got to feel the rage of the Japanese military when they blew up an American vessel docked on the Yangtze at non-jing. This boat had been used recently to ferry Americans out of non-jing for the weeks leading up to the incident. The Americans maintained the Japanese knew this vessel was neutral and the flags were plainly visible that day.
