Sally Kohn: Do you see any current sort of analogs that are really ideologically in line with Thomas who have this race pessimist, but race first view and end up on the hard right? She says there's a long kind of fraternization between black nationalist figures like Malcolm X and Marcus Garvey and white nationalists. And so I think there is a kind of a weird way in which Thomas is the mirror image of Trumpism, she says.
