How Much Auto Scaling Do You Guys Do for Evenings in the US?

The typical half-life of an AWS instance for us is measured in the two to three-day range. We bring up thousands of servers every day to deal with traffic, and then when traffic goes away, those servers go away as well. Not all of our systems auto scale, of course, it doesn't always make sense depending on the kind of traffic load you have.
