We hand extraordinary people authority they never earned. Because someone can shoot a basketball, we expect sound business judgment and unimpeachable ethics. Because someone can sing, we assume they know something about parenting. Then the moment they turn out ordinary in some other corner of their life, we erase everything they were extraordinary at. On DarrenDaily On-Demand, Darren Hardy takes apart this reflex, drawing on decades of interviewing the most accomplished people alive and explaining why not one of them has ever disappointed him. He offers a simple ten-and-ninety framework for learning from remarkable people without idolizing them, plus three pieces of advice on where their opinion should carry weight and where it absolutely should not.
